Three big updates!

1. We have secured distribution!! Although we have to be faint on details , we can say a few things. We have for the time being changed the film's name to "Router". Along with that we have a brand new trailer which can be viewed above. More details to follow in the next few months....

2. We will be bringing the film back to Dubuque, Iowa, the place where we first started filming way back in November 2010. "Router" will have three screenings next weekend at the amazing 2nd annual Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, April 4th-7th. These will be our first public screenings in Dubuque. For more details on screenings and ticket info please visit http://www.julienfilmfest.com

3. For those wondering about Kickstarter awards, the digital download of the film will be made available directly following our last festival screenings at JDIFF. Please check your email inbox for info about how to download the film. DVDs and other materials will go out shortly thereafter, provided that you send a mailing address when its requested. We'd like to thank everyone for being patient and understanding the reasons we couldn't send out copies of the film until our film festival journey had ended.

That's all we have for now. Even though we're closing a chapter on this project there's much more exciting things to come including our VOD release and foreign releases. Here's to hoping 2013 will bring new and exciting things for the cast and crew of "Router", and more importantly all of you who have supported us along the way!

The Wild Rose Independent Film Festival takes place Nov. 8-15, 2012 at the Fleur Cinema and Café in Des Moines, IA. The award ceremony takes place on November 10th.

The wild rose is the official flower of the state of Iowa, a thing of beauty and tenacity growing "in the wild." The Wild Rose Independent Film Festival is a celebration of the vast, diverse, bizarre, hilarious, beautiful, cinema art created by independent moviemakers outside the mainstream.

EASTON'S ARTICLE will have the SHOWCASE Screening at 5:30 in the Fleur Cinema and Café, Des Moines, IA on November 12th.

Previously writer/director Tim Connery won the Best Production Design award for his short film Quarter 'til Two at the 2010 Wild Rose Film Festival. During that time the Easton's Article team was in its final days of their Kickstarter.com fundraising campaign. Tim Connery said, "It feels great to be recognized and screening at the Wild Rose Film Festival again. They have a wonderful film festival and I can't wait to show the Des Moines audience our own Iowa bred film!"

Recently, after having the opportunity to see Easton's Article, Filmmaker Magazine got in touch with writer/director Tim Connery to ask him a few questions. They covered a wide range of topics including crowd-funding, marketing, time travel, and the film's fatalistic finale. Head on over to their blog to check out the full article!

"The movie uses tight control of pacing and character development rather than CGI and spectacle to harness the inherent drama of time traveling. Easton's Article is never satisfied to let the audience rest easy and invites us to not only dig through its layers of plot and interrelationship but to look into ourselves and examine how we would handle such situations." - Billy Brennan of Filmmaker Magazine

We just wrapped our International Premiere at the amazing Fantasia International Film Festival up in Montreal! We had a packed house at our screening and an informative Q&A segment with the audience. We want to extend our thanks to the people who came to the screening and the Festival staff for executing such an excellent fest. Below you can check out some of the great things critics are saying about the film.

TIME TRAVEL PREMISE MASKS A DARKER ORIGIN

"Beneath the mask of the time travel story, Easton's Article is revealed as a tale of prophecy, which are always stories about how our past leads to our future like the river leads to the sea."

BEAST VS. EASTON'S ARTICLE

"Ostensibly this is a science fictional tale, and its central concept is novel if not quite waterproof. The fun is to be had in the unravelling of it, and in the tangible feeling of small-town desperation that permeates this film."

DEFINITIVE IOWA SCIENCE FICTION FILM

"Indeed, Article represents the road not taken often enough in the science fiction genre, telling an intimate yet speculative story, with little or no special effects required. Connery's completely linear script fits together the pieces without any distracting seams, while fully immersing viewers in his characters' lives and Midwestern environment."
